Born in Cleveland, OH, the enigmatic producer Sound On Tape draws influence from legends El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, and Sticky as well as deep seated Black gospel icons CL Franklin, Pastor T.L. Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir, and Mahalia Jackson.
His first EP Hush Harbors cements his unique blend of electronic music rooted in Garage, 2-Step, Jazz and beyond. Released through 904L World Class Sound, the project sonically places him alongside contemporaries Sammy Virji, Overmono, Emma-Jean Thackray, and Higgo.
